Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. May we not use only one day to show our love to all, but on every day.
here it is my Faith Valentine's for all, I pray it is a blessing to Y'all
Valentine’s Day, the day where love fills the world, where flowers and roses are in abundance. The day where you get to show the people you love even more love. The day where your significant others romance you with jewelry, chocolates, or other sweet gestures. But what about the one who has loved you since the beginning of time? The One who has pursued you always, even giving His life you. God Almighty has been the greatest Valentine anyone can have, and guess what? He does not need a day to remember to show you He loves and cares for you. But let us go back for a minute, God pursued YOU. That is right the Almighty, Alpha and Omega, Creator of all pursued you. He even did relentlessly and does it every day. How amazing is that? Sure chocolates taste good, and cards are nice, but the next after Valentine’s day the magical feeling will be over. The chocolates go stale, the cards (by some) get thrown out as the days pass, and life goes back to normal.
Our pursuer God is different in so many ways, His Words last forever, nothing that He does for us goes to waster or gets thrown out, and life is forever changed by His pursuing us.Think about it God’s one act of pursuing or chasing after we have changed us for all eternity. Has given us the ability to be called His love, free from sin, beauty, worth more than rubies, child, beloved, and Bride. John 3:16 is a popular verse I know but the first words are my favorite “Because He loved the world, He gave…” Because He loved us and chased after us, He gave us His best and all.
Now don’t think I have bashing Valentine’s day, I am not. I just find it ironic how we need a day to remind us to tell others we love them, and even at times need daily reminders to tell our God we love Him. Love is not a forced act when you love someone( I mean really love) is comes selflessly from the depths of our souls. This is the kind of love God has shown us and the kind of love we need to show to Him. I mean NEED quit literally as we were created for the sole purpose of loving God back and giving Him glory. It is a part of our DNA the need to love because the ONE who created us is LOVE.
This Valentine’s Day I challenge us all to pursue God the way God has pursued us. With the all in, no strings attached, coming from the depths of our souls love for Him.Write Him a love song and sing it to Him, pursue His words every day, pursue His presence every minute, and pursue His love every second. Oh, how gracious a God we have that he pursues us and loves no matter what.That is what 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is all about God’s love for us. "God is patient, God is kind. God is patient, God is kind. God does not envy, God does not boast, God is not proud. God does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, God is not easily angered, God keeps no record of wrongs. God does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. God always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.God never fails.” That is God’s valentine’s to us His grace, His mercy, His love, and His Son.
