Dealing with the Stubborn

In our journey through Joshua, we encounter a powerful lesson about dealing with the stubborn places in our lives. Just as the Israelites faced unconquered territories, we too struggle with persistent sins and character flaws. The message challenges us not to ignore, embrace, or repeat these issues, but instead to confront them head-on. We're reminded of God's promises and past victories, encouraging us to trust in His power to overcome. The gospel message, symbolized by the cross, empty tomb, and throne, offers us the tools to address these stubborn areas: Jesus as our high priest, the indwelling Holy Spirit, and the support of fellow believers. This reminds us that in our spiritual battles, we're never alone. By surrendering to God and embracing His grace, we can find victory over the stubborn sins that plague us, growing more like Christ each day.
