Gifts Fit for a King

In a world filled with competing loyalties and earthly powers, we're invited to consider a radical truth: there is only one King worthy of our allegiance. This message challenges the 'no kings' mentality of our culture by declaring 'no kings but Jesus.' Drawing from Old Testament prophecies in Isaiah, Micah, and Zechariah, we see how God promised a coming Messiah thousands of years before His birth. The kingdom Jesus established isn't like any earthly kingdom—it's not built on power, wealth, or control, but on love, service, and transformation. Throughout history, earthly rulers have felt threatened by this kingdom, from Herod's massacre of innocents to Pilate's fearful crucifixion of Christ. Yet the kingdom endures, unshakeable and eternal. We who believe are not merely subjects but co-heirs, temples of the Holy Spirit, and agents of life change. This Christmas season reminds us that we're part of something far greater than political movements or cultural trends—we're citizens of an eternal kingdom where resurrection power transforms everything. The question isn't whether we'll have a king, but which king we'll serve. And when we choose Christ, we discover that His kingdom offers what no earthly power can: true hope, lasting peace, and unconditional love.
