The Next session begins Tuesday, Sept 6th, 6:00pm, at the Forsythe Church of Christ at 2101 Forsythe Ave. in Monroe.
What is GriefShare?
Someone you love very deeply has died and the pain of grief is so intense that you can hardly catch your breath. You wonder, “God, are you here?” And, you ask, “How could this have happened?” “What do I do now?” “Where do I go from here?” There are so many questions and sometimes it seems as if there are no answers.
Now, there is a place you can go; a place where you can find the answers to your questions. GriefShare is a Christ-centered, biblically-based grief educational and support group. With GriefShare, you are surrounded by fellow believers who are also on the journey through grief. We understand your pain. We have asked the same questions. We have been where you are.
You will discover that God is very much present in your life, even though it may not seem like it. You will find comfort through his Word and his promises. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
The GriefShare seminar/support group consists of 13 weekly sessions. In each 2-hour session, a 35 to 40 minute video is shown followed by time for sharing, support, and fellowship. There is no charge for the seminar. We ask that you pre-register only to ensure that enough materials are available for everyone. GriefShare is designed in such a way that you can join us at any time during the 13-week session. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member.
If you are grieving the death of someone you loved – then GriefShare is for you.
